You know what I love about neutrinos?
No, not that they defy the laws of physics as we currently define them. No, not that they are so super-fast that we question their very existence. No, not even that this existence will allow us to see into the center of the galaxy.
Psshhht. Whatever.
I like them because they make this pretty pattern.

I am all about the pretty patterns.
I think some cartoon I saw as a kid featured a fictional band called the Neutrinos. It has forever warped my view of subatomic particles.
ReplyDeleteIt IS a pretty picture. :)
Do you think the universe might conjure up a neutrinos pattern in fabric form. If we ask nicely?
ReplyDeleteI consider particles exceeding the speed of light to be the equivalent of pigs flying and hell freezing over. I can't wait to see what happens next!
ReplyDelete@ geri: i think we should definitely ask Universe, as World had been hearing a lot of beangirl requests lately.
ReplyDeletethis is all so far over my head my brain just shuts off. explain more, intelligent people!!!
I didn't know about the patterns. Very pretty, indeed!
ReplyDelete:D
ReplyDeleteI bet a whole bottle of whisky on neutrinos actually being able to exceed the speed of light. Now I'm even gladder I did. That pattern is awesome. :)
I totally love people who bet on particle physics... especially good things like whiskey.
ReplyDeleteThat would make beautiful fabric! Silk! spoonflower is your friend.
