I have “O Canada” stuck in my head.
Help me.
(edit: of course now, thanks to the evil genius of Big In Japan, I have "A Horse With No Name" stuck in my head... but oh no, not just ANY version. Remember that gay barkeeper in "Good Morning, Vietnam"? Oh yes. That one. "Ra rah rah ra ra-ra-ra". Good. Grief.)
Oh no! I hate it when songs get stuck in there. Torture! Youtube some other anthems to shake it loose! LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat's ok with me, I'm Canadian :)
ReplyDeleteBut to make it more fun, you could look up the South Park version
ReplyDeleteTry this one on for size- Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Right Round...."
ReplyDeleteor how about America's "A Horse With No Name" ?
That one's been stuck with me since karaoke on Tuesday.
You can thank me later.

Watching too much hockey are you? Ha! Wow, you're a long way from Canada. I'm in Michigan and honestly, I can look out across the water and see Canada. And yet, I don't have that anthem in my head! But--I do find myself doing the Texas Two Step now and then!
ReplyDeleteI only just happened to catch the very beginning snippet of a game and it stuck. Plus I think I heard it somewhere else too on Tuesday but I can't figure out where or when. I used to live in Minnesota and North Dakota, so I'm pretty conversant with Canadian (eh?).
ReplyDeleteI hate you, Big In Japan.
I hate it when that happens. I try to just think of some other song, but then I get that one stuck in my head, too.
ReplyDeleteYou think you've got troubles? I got stood up and spent 3 hours in a Chinese restaurant (reading and drinking) while the same muzaky soundtrack of arpeggiated synthetic xylophones chirped cheerily on and on and on, kinda like being in the desert on a horse with no name. But possibly more torturous. I kid you not. At least there were no words.
ReplyDeletemwaaah !
