    And these pass the uniform-drab code? Or is this a way of subversively adding some colour? (I kind of hope that's the case)

    Now no one will mistake your daughters as children from NYC?

    I think you could make your fortune in Japan with these. Here they are not only hair accessory but can often be seen worn on the wrist, bracelet style, always at the ready, by a surprising number of girls and women. And with all those colors/textures/prints....
